A Card with Shine and a Flowery Cake

I made a card tonight with a shine stamp that I bought at Michaels a few weeks ago. Other details of note on this card would be the hand beaded vine and stitched stem/leaf. I love the bright and happy colours on this card. It's completely my personality.

Here was my final cake for my Wilton cake decorating class. It's okay - I learned that I'm really bad at making roses. I shall practice more for sure!

Happy Canada Day everyone!

There's something so special about a handmade card!

I've been scrapbooking for about three years but recently I started making cards and I love it! It's so much fun to sit down in my space and fiddle with ribbons and buttons and stamps and glue. I know when I receive a handmade card it feels so much more special to me than a store bought card. You know the person who made it took a lot of care and time to fabricate something special just for you. Here are a few samples of cards I've made recently.

Father's Day - we put this on my father-in-law's grave the other day. We sure miss him!

Baby Cards - boys or girls, we love 'em all!

A birthday card for a special little boy

Completely off the topic of cards, here are some buttercream flowers I made for a cake. Cute and yummy!

Stay tuned for more crafty goodness!
